Huge Paris Rally of Iranian Opposition but Hardly Worth Reporting by MSM. I wonder why? – Tim Veater

 Huge Paris Rally of Iranian Opposition but Hardly Worth Reporting by MSM. I wonder why? – Tim Veater
Huge Paris Rally of Iranian Opposition but Hardly Worth Reporting by MSM. I
wonder why?
Excuse me! But a gathering of 600 top brass from NATO countries and more than
80,ooo people attending a rally in France and I can’t find ONE western MSM
outlet referring to it. Oh do come on! Someone obviously thought we wouldn’t be
the slightest bit interested by a huge western-supported Iranian resistance
movement, when Israel/Iran remains one of the most inflammable areas of the
world and the object of obsessional focus by the US (to name but one!)?
Presumably an elderly man with an Australian accent who years ago couldn’t keep
his hands (or other parts of his anatomy) to himself, is much more important to
the safety and stability of the world?
On the VERY SAME DAY the BBC managed to ignore tens of thousands of protesters
in London AND eight hundred thousand gathering in France. Well done BBC, this
inspires us with confidence. The most appropriate response I can think of being,
“Should have gone to Specsavers”.
Propaganda or government manipulation of the media, what we may call the art of
“good days for bad news”, can be of (at least) two sorts – positive and
negative: “bigging” a story up or COVERING a story up. (Sorry the system won’t
accept italics here, that would have been more appropriate)
There are so many newsworthy events in the world, and the time available on the
average TV “9 o’clock news” so limited, it is not difficult to do either. Not
only are the news items limited, by some strange coincidence, usually all the
outlets agree as to what is important and what isn’t. This might be explained by
some strange transmigration of mental thought processes between news editors,
although more prosaic answers are much more likely. Nor is there any longer, on
the domestic BBC, programmes that have the time or inclination to go into
stories more deeply. Even Paxman thought so!
However, where by any objective assessment, a very important event is totally
ignored, we might have to come up with more dubious or sinister explanations.
The London and Villepinte, Paris events, seem to me to be a case in point. Can
we conclude that someone, somewhere wanted to keep us ignorant of both, or do we
put it down to an abysmal application of choice by news editors?
With respect to the ISIL rally, the claimed attendance in both number and
character must be significant. Where did the nearly million people come from?
How did they get to know about it? What motivated them? Who paid? (That
particular question is answered in the excerpts below but no prizes if you
guessed right!) What was the over-riding thrust of the speeches? In the light of
the catastrophic results of the “Arab Spring” across the Middle East, and its
claimed terrorist implications for us, don’t you think we should have been told?
There is no doubt that this event had the fulsome support of a significant
segment of American political life aligned essentially with the Israeli position
that sees Iran as a primary threat. One was the ex-mayor of New York at the time
of the 9/11 attacks, Rudolph Giuliani and wholly supportive of the
now-discredited and deeply suspect government story-line. Both he and Rumsfeld
were projected as heroes at the time, which has proved could not have been more
misplaced. Just as we now know it was a CIA charade, so one wonders to what
extent the CIA was the hidden hand behind the Paris rally as part of a
replicated policy of insurrection in the name of “freedom” – that most abused
word?
No doubt the suggestion would be strenuously denied. Isn’t denial often the
surest sign? Do you really think this would have been supported by so many
western top military men, politicians and organisations such as NATO without the
blessing of the CIA? But this is not the only indicator.
No one now needs to be persuaded that post 9/11, both British and American
governments pursued deeply illiberal policies that included increased
surveillance and control, that is still finding expression in relation to the
press and internet, both sides of the Atlantic. No one could suggest that the
CIA is pro-freedom on the internet or against government prying on the citizen,
yet believe it or not, at the Paris meeting, American politicians were falling
over themselves to praise the part the internet played (Twitter, Facebook etc.)
in the successful gathering, usefully described as “Bigger than a Republican
Convention”. This came from political associates of those that were calling for
the assassination of Edward Snowden! If that is not an indication of CIA
back-room management, nothing is.
As you see the black arts of manipulation can be positive or negative as the
need arises, dependant on whether the matter fits the general plan. Clearly this
meeting did. If you still doubt my word perhaps you will accept the words of
others. (See below) END.

US SPEAKERS ASTONISHED BY SIZE OF IRANIAN RESISTANCE GATHERING
01 July 2014
“More than two dozen current and former American officials and policymakers
spoke at the annual rally of the National Council of Resistance of Iran on
Friday, expressing solidarity with the Iranian resistance movement and the
National Council of Resistance of Iran, and that underscored the responsibility
of the US to reform its policies towards Iran and to protect the residents of
Camps Ashraf and Liberty.
Among those declarations and assurances, certain speakers emphasized the size of
the grassroots event, which drew Iranian exiles and resistance activists from
five continents and nearly 70 countries.
Standing upon a podium and stage that looked conspicuously like the celebratory
and patriotic setup of a political convention in the United States, former DNC
Chairman Howard Dean looked out upon the crowd and made a remarkable observation
from his own experience. “There are more people in this hall than there were in
the Democratic National Convention in the 2004,” he said, “and in the Republican
National Convention in 2004.”
Illinois Representative Danny Davis made a similar observation, though without
direct comparisons. He described it as “the largest demonstration for democracy
that I’ve ever seen,” before raising his arm over his head in a triumphant
gesture and thanking the crowd for allowing him to be a part of it.
Governor Dean also recognized the size of the event on a different scale.
Subtly congratulating himself for advising the organizers to increase its social
media presence, he pointed out that the gathering’s push this year for constant
Twitter updates and the usage of the hashtags #MaryamRajavi and #Iran had been
tremendously successful, making the NCRI the largest presence on social media
that evening.
Dean went on to suggest that the people continue tweeting with the #Iran tag,
because prior to the start of the event that hashtag was being used by Iranian
officials whose ironic presence on Twitter contradicts the fact that the social
media site is banned throughout the country, along with Facebook and other
common applications.
Thanks to the emphasis on social media at Friday’s event, Governor Dean
declared, the hashtag had essentially been taken away from the regime. So too
would the country be taken back soon, Dean said proudly.
Referring back to Governor Dean’s speech later, Col Gary Morsch said that just
as Howard Dean had taken credit for the world’s largest Twitter presence, Morsch
would take the world’s largest “selfie.” Turning around and raising his
smartphone over his head, Morsch snapped a picture of himself from the stage,
with a sea of yellow shirts signifying the solidarity of the NCRI cause and
stretching out behind him, far, far out of the frame.”

meeting for ISIL in France
Voltaire Network, 30 June 2014
“The Mujahidin-e-Khalq (MEK) (Iranian armed opposition group FINANCED BY
WASHINGTON) held a large rally in Villepinte, near Paris, on 27 June 2014. More
than 80 000 people attended the event.
While the main objective of the meeting was to support the Mujahidin military
base in Iraq, Camp Asharaf and their fight against Iran, MEK president Maryam
Rajavi seized the opportunity to violently lash out against Iraqi Prime Minister
Nouri al-Maliki and rejoice over the progress achieved by the Islamic Emirate in
Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)

RESISTANCE
French politics nowadays are profoundly schizophrenic: on one hand France (as
the U.S.) officially condemns the destabilization of a State by a terrorist
organization, while on the other hand, the Élysée participates alongside the
U.S. in the secret war in the Middle East and details Foreign Legion officers to
oversee the ISIL in Syria and Iraq.
More than 600 political figures from NATO member countries turned up for the
this meeting. This list included:
Gen. Hugh Shelton, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff;
Gen. George William Casey, former commanding general for Operation Iraqi
Freedom;
Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives;
Senator Joseph Lieberman (his friend Senator John McCain was unable to make the
trip, but adressed the gathering via video);
Rudy Giuliani, former Mayor of New York;
José Luis Rodriguez Zapatero, former Socialist Prime Minister of Spain;
Michèle Alliot-Marie, former French Defense Minister;
Bernard Kouchner, former French Foreign Affairs Minister;
Rama Yade, vice president of the conservative Radical Party of France.
